The column adsorption unit behr SE II combines the sample vessel, the two adsorption columns and the collection cylinder in serial vertical arrangement. This construction avoids hose connections.

A manually adjustable pressure regulator (0 ... 4 bar) enables the regulation of the flow rate and this the exposure period of the sample water in the active carbon columns

A prefilter holds the suspended solids back from the water sample. For one, this prevents the clogging of the active carbon columns.

In addition, it guarantees the detection of halogenated hydrocarbons that adhere to the surface of the solids, through combined combustion of the filter cake and the enriched active carbon on the first pillar.
