Further determinations - Compact system (Sulfuric acids)

Sulfuric acids

Determination of SO2 in food, especially grain. By adding hydrochloric acid, the SO2 is moved out of the sample and absorbed in the behrotest absorption vessel perhydrole (H2O2). H2O2 is boiled and the solution titrated.

Further determinations - Compact system (Water content)

Water content

Function: The determination takes place through azeotropic distillation. For this, various sample materials xylene or toluene is added. In the vaporous phases the solvent binds with the water and after condensation, the water is separated from the solvent in a measuring tube.

Available product variants:
Further determinations - Steam generator (Alcohol)

Alcohol

Flexible distillation device that is ready for operation after no more than 30 seconds.

Available product variants:
Further determinations - Steam distillation unit (Alcohol / volatile acids)

Alcohol / volatile acids

There are two devices that can be used for the determination of alcohol: D1 & D2, whereby distillation for D1 takes place in the pycnometer and distillation for the D2 in the Erlenmeyer flask.

Available product variants:
Further determinations - Essential oils

Essential oils

The content determination of essential oils takes place in the behrotest devices by means of steam distillation.

The distillate is collected in the measurement tube, which contains xylol. The water is automatically returned to the distillation flask.

Further determinations - Hydroxyproline

Hydroxyproline

Determining the hydroxyproline content of meat, meat products and sausage products in accordance with Sec. 64 LFGB (German Food & Feed Act). In this process, a sample is subject to acid hydrolysis. Acid hydrolysis can either be completed through a classic process with a behrotest RH 6 digestion apparatus or with a modern behrotest HDP 6/12 digestion apparatus. Then the oxidized hydroxyproline is measured photometrically at 558 nm.

Available product variants:
Further determinations - Compact system (Vitamin A and E)

Vitamin A and E

The method for the determination of vitamin A and vitamin E in foodstuffs is effected in accordance with DIN EN 12823-1 and DIN EN 12822.

Available product variants:
Further determinations - Compact system (Saponification value)

Saponification value

The method for the determination of saponification value in animal and vegetable fats and oils is effected in accordance with DIN EN ISO 3657. With an excess of ethanolic potassium hydroxide solution the tested sample is saponified by boiling under reflux and later titrated with standard hydrochloric acid solution until reaching the end point.
